Hello, I downloaded the demo version of the game but I am experiencing a few problems. I searched the forum and found this thread with exactly the same graphics problems. Some textures appear totally black and certain faces seem to have their normals inverted and/or are just deleted. If you shine your flashlight on the ground the black goes away.

I'm also experiencing crashing when I go to the menu (ESC) from in-game. My mouse stops working and I can barely move the pointer or do anything. My game also crashes when I try to quit so I haven't been able to change my resolution/settings yet.

I'm on Windows Vista and it wouldn't surprise me if that is related to the problems. I have a X800XT card, 2GB of ram and my computer is not over-heated.

I really like this game and would like to buy it if these problems were sorted out

Do you both have Vista?

There are no plans to update the tech demo of Penumbra. At the moment we have no plans to update the demo for penumbra: overture but the full game has been updated to fix most of these issues with ATI and Vista combination, unfortunately it also create some new problems with that combo and that is currently looked into.
