Well, I haven't read other suggestion threads, so forgive me if i say something that's already been mentioned.
Ok, I just beated the game (well "beat" is a complicated term in this game), but i love this game; it's atmosphere is great, and I have never played a game that merged graphic horror adventures with FPS this well.
Anyway, personally there are 4 things I would change a bit for the next episodes.
1- Combat.: beating enemies becames very easy once you learn the timing. Specifically with wolves, it just becames a joke, one hit will stunt them, then all you have to do is wait until they raise up to hit them again. I think they should be able to grab your arm or disarm you since it becames very simple to eliminate them after you've practice with one or two.
Also they dont seem to detect you easily, I even had one of them passing right in front of me giving me the option to stunt it with a rock. Other than that, the use of enviroment to fight enemies is just great. In fact I would rather feel obligated by the game to use the surroundings as a weapon and have melee combat as a last resort.
2- Light Sources.: Well, this is curious, in the whole game I just never ever used the flashlight. It just isn't necessary; the glowstick is eternal and it brights quite a lot. In fact I think the tech demo had it better there, the glowstick just wasn't enough in all areas. I think the game should encourage the player to use the flashlight. The flares are perfect though, the last the exact amount of time, and iluminate accuratley acording to real life. Nevertheless, I barely use them as the glowstick seems perfect for pretty much any situation.
3- Graphics.: I love them, there is not much to complaint about here. But if I have to get picky, and I will, well...the only two things in the whole game, graphically speaking, which annoyed me were these.: First, the wolves/undead dogs, sometimes when you hit them while docking, they are half-swallowed by the floor, the when they rise, they come up again but it just looks weird. And, why dont they have you know feet?. Secondly, It would be nice to see ourselves when we look down, or at least to see our hand when we use the hammer or axe.
4- Game longevity.: Please, oh PLEASE, make the nest chapter longer!!!...
(Not a real complaint there, but this game is just great. Why do great games always seem to be shorter. (Retorical question there)).
Anyway, great game, please dont screw it, keep it up!.
