I will state this, being my first time here, I have no 3d design skills yet. I am looking for people wanting to put something together. Here's the premise:

You visit the grounds of one of the most haunted houses in the world. Death was a regular visitor at the house. People have attempted to solve the riddle of the grounds, but only became another addition to the hauntings. In the game, you may visit the haunting spots, but overstaying your visit will lead to your demise. Example: In the third floor of the house, there is a room where a little girl haunts. When you enter, she appears, and slowly walks towards you. If you do not hold the correct artifact to put her ghost to rest, and don't leave in time, she will murder you. Through solving puzzles you will find the artifacts needed to silence these haunts. So, by finding a pocket watch that had belonged to her father, she will still approach you, but instead of killing you, this rotting, freakish apparition will hug you, and whisper, "daddy..." before you are overtaken by her memories, of life, and her gruesome death. Then she will fade.

Just an example, but other ideas are: To avoid the horror cliches......if pursued by a spirit, jump over obstacles and avoid tripping, or you meet your death. If you see eyes peering at you through the bushes in a garden, DO NOT INVESTIGATE. There would always be documentation about where and which haunts frequent an area. This way you would know if you were prepared for it or not. Not to forget the voices that are present whenever you get closer to a haunt. Every spirit has a reason for being there, something they are waiting for.

All in all I think that it would make an interesting, if not heart stopping experience. So anyhow, the game Scratches had the ambient feeling I was going for, the intensity of Condemned, and the idea of absolution that came from the older game Amber: Journey Beyond. So many times haunted house movies get it wrong. You want to see that shadow at the end of the hall, and you want to turn and run, but they get so ridiculous with phony looking effects and completely hokey ghosts that you get disgusted with them. I think this would really give the "I'm in a f**king haunted house!" feeling we all really want.
