OK, downloaded the free game of Penumbria. Got in the first room, out of the cold. Easy enough. Now, havn't got a clue what to do.....also, how do you save the game ?...and...how come there is no left and right turn movement...just sway left or right...makes movement reeeeaaally awkward....I'm used to first person shooters, and I'm hoping this game does at least have a little action in it....I don't mind a few puzzles...but please, if it's too hard to get around...I'll just walk.
Apart from that...looks like it has potential. Reminds me a bit of 'Realms of the Haunting'......in that you were constantly in and out of your inventory...bit of a pain, but still.
You don't only lean, try useing the a and d buttons.
ok....but how do you save the game..?
Forget that last post....seems the game self saves...anyway, read the walkthrough....we must be playing different games, lol. My game starts in a room with a locked door....you have to read the note you pick up, to get the code to go through it...then, if you are like me...you spend ages wandering around,up and down 3 flights of stairs, trying to find a hose to help put petrol in a generator...anybody with me yet ?
oh and yes, there is a strafe from side to side....but no actual left or right turn movement. That was what I meant.
All the turning and looking up and down is done using the mouse.
Hope that helps

cheers Luis....that's what I thought....not as easy as a keyboard though, for an old gamer like me...just wish there was a left and right turn using the left and right arrows....never mind, I'm coping. The earlier confusion was because I'm playing the tech demo....and trying to follow the walkthrough for the other one....but it's sorted now...got the right walkthrough at last...that vampire bat thingy is a nasty sod....must go back and re-do that...
I also noticed.....most of the posts on here are from ages ago....yet I've only just discovered the game...makes me feel a bit daft, replying to threads from people that probably finished it months ago....
