All tools and info in the HPL wiki

These include all the special tools used to create penumbra. You will also need to a 3d editor and Collada for the editor you are using. Note some editors will work better than others.

Soon there will be more tutorials and other help posted in the mod section of the forum.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
All content files in the penumbra game are the property of Frictional Games and may not be used for anything else than modifications for penumbra. Usage in projects not using the penumbra engine is not allowed. Any modifications made using the penumbra engine may not be sold or in any other way used for profit.

The mod tools require .NET to be installed. We have been using 1.1 so we can't say that 2.0 will work for sure.

The sceneviewer and modelviewer has been updated so if you have downloaded the package please redownload.

The tools and documenation has been updated today so it's wise to redownload the mod_pack.zip!

If i want to start HplHelper in mod pack i get this message What is wrong? Is it maybe .net , i think i have 2.0. And also nothing else in that back works, beside Particleviewer.exe, all others give ''missing SDL.dll'' error. Please help

Try downloading the latest version of .net, I see no reason for it not to work then.(Unless of course the download corrupted when you downloaded Penumbra...)

no you have to place all of the files in the redist folder of penumbra

Thanks Dark_Raver, that was the case.

Made a model with texture, add a new dir in HPL, 'save to file' didnt work so i added it manually, tutorial models worked fine but my model didnt, the model viewer started up then error flies up like this:



Also other people have tested it and my model works fine on their HPL and im on .NET 2.0
