Was this ever used in the game? 'cause I can't find it...

There is a special texture in the redist folder - Penumbra Overture\redist\models\doorshaft

There is a texture named door_shaft_doll.jpg. But I can't find this texture anywhere used in the game...

Any tips?

nah, i found it to, i dont think it was used.

I mean, if you look in Penumbra tech demo, you find really high quality corpse textures, homer simpson noises, and worm textures.

somethings have been deleted, and theyve forgotten to remove certain componenents.
