MiDri

My shadows look horrible, they're gradiated.

My specs:

Radeon X1800XL 512mb (running Omega's 3.8.252, based on ATI Offical 6.5)
Athlon 64 +3200 @ 2.5ghz
Audigy Gamer
MSI RD480 Mobo
1gig Kingston Ram

This jpg does not really do it justice, the compression on the image blurs the highly contrasting effect that I actully see in game.

Have you updated all your drivers?

MiDri

Well, due to issues with the new ATI 6.6 and the fact that Omega has not released a 6.6 modded driver yet. I am behind one Driver update.

MyWorldOfChaos

I don't know what else it could be other than driver issues. Maybe that will sort it when it comes out.

I know in ut2004, bad things happened when you went below 800x600. What resolution are you running at? Mine seems to run fine and i am at 1280x1024.

Hope you manage to fix it

MiDri

running at 1024x768 with everything maxed out.

Pir4t

what color setting do you have ?
32bit - 16bit - 256 ?
Test to set A.I driver optimisation to low or off in you catalyst panel or equivalent for Omega.

Hello, i just found about this today in the article in pc gamer. This is really impressive and fun despite the fact that i'm having the same problem as MiDri. I'm using an Nvidia Geforce 6800. I would really like to fix this but I have no idea how so and advice would be appreciated. I don't know as much about computers as I should as a gamer (better start learning) so simple instructions would be nice. :D

EDIT: I should mention my drivers are up to date.
Hey, I have the same card as you. I'm not sure what it could be if you have the latest drivers. Are you using the latest version(1.1) of Penumbra? You can get it from http://frictionalgames.com/?q=penumbradownload

dis3321

Yes I have 1.1 hmmm this is really bugging me.
