Hello, a few days ago I downloaded penumbra to try out, and well, even though it was running pretty choppy I enjoyed it. My computer specs are:

AMD Athlon XP 2200+
1.80GHz
512 MB of Ram
Windows XP Profession Editions SP2
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
120 gigabyte hardrive (still have many gigs free)

Those are my specs.
Shouldn't the game run decently?
What settings do you recommend?
Thank you.
This should be enough. For better performance make sure that motion blur and bloom is turned off. That should give you a speed boost. If not you can also set shadows to static to only.

Hope that helps.
i have somewhat the same system, except P4 2.6GHz and 1gig ram
i have:
text quality on high
shadows on dynamic
bloom eand motion blur off
noise filter on (what does it do actualy???)
it runs average on 20-27fps (guessing)

Well i've got:

Amd Athlon +3400 64 Bit Processor
1 gig Ram
X700 Pro 256 MB ATI GRAphics Card

and all the settings maxed out in the game

the game is almost unplayable because it stutters like hell and even turning down the graphics doesn't seem to help. My system specs are over the recommended so how is this happening? Anybody have any ideas?
