I was following the first tutorial up until the part where you make your first box. I made it in blender, which just recently starting supporting COLLADA format (.dae) and exported it. When I opened HPL and tried loading it, the model did not appear. Furthermore, I can't seem to import Penumbra models, while I can import my own and others. I'm also attaching the model of the box. A little help please?

Did you check the "export as triangle" button? I use 3ds max, not blender, so I can't help you out anymore than that.
i would do what chaos said: check if you checked the 'export triangles' option
When I export my model no options are offered other than file name and location. Is there another way, perhaps console wise or editing a file?
i dont know blender verry wel
but when your press the export button, do you get a popup or so?
if you do, post a screenshot
The reason you cannot load the penumbra models is probably since most the models uses an older collada version.
As you exporting with Blender I know some other have tried with negative results. Make sure that you have made the object into a triangle mesh before exporting. I will take a look at the zip you attached later and see if I can find any errors.
what collada version is penumbra using, it is frustrating not to be able to export stuff from blender
i am using the latest and excpet for the buffer overrun error on start of the map, they work like a charm
try a different 3d program, like 3ds max or maya
