Hello there.
First of all - this game rules.

Now. This door is locked. I've played through the whole game and finished it. However I never managed to open this door.

Have a look at the picture here. I put a flare next to the door I'm talking about.


Has anyone managed to open this door? And if so -how did you do it? Is there a key somewhere I'm not aware of?

I've tried to use the key which was found in two bits and mended together.
I've tried pouring the acid onto the door.
I've tried hammering at it with the ice pick things in the nearby bucket.
I've tried the tool for opening air vents.

About the only thing I haven't tried is dynamite because I ran out. Can anyone help me out here?

it cant be opened
the door is just there to create topics like this :p
no just kidding, normaly you would see a different beast then the bats in there but since that monster was never finished they made the door part of the scenery(=cannot be opened)

And since there's no no clipping I guess I'm never going to get into the toilet. And we all know what that means. :)

Sorry to re-bump this old topic, but I would believe that the maps from penumbra can be brought up in some editor; IS there anything behind that door? Only accessible through the editor? I've always wondered this=/
Or is there just some type of sound event that loops over and over?

probably a sound event
you can open them up using either 3ds max or maya with the collada plugin :)
dont have it installed atm so i cant check :(

Well, my friends and i were fooling around with penumbra and some how when we dropped a stick out dynamite next to the bathroom door, the game glitched and shot us inside the bathroom, there was that freaky 4 legged monster from the picture hiding behind the door feeding on a corpse. The thing didn't move it just hissed and the other door to the side was locked. After us After 2 hours of trying to find a way out, we finally got out, but the thing started to follow us, so we stopped playing because by that time it was 12:00AM and we were tired as hell so we quit out.

I love the fact that you used the SAME GAME PIC FROM THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE.

And I have edited the games to allow the charecter to move faster than the clip rate, allowing you to pass through walls.
Guess what happens when I pass through the door.
Nothing. There is no room behind it.

Lie better next time ;-)
