I've been trying o play Penumbra for about an hour now, but every time I get five minutes into the game, sometimes less, my computer just completely tards out and blue-screens.

So I ask Microsoft about this and they go "Driver problem". I was wondering if any of y'all could help me out with this.

Try updating your video card drivers to the latest version and your audio card drivers as well just to be sure.

If you do not know what audio/video card you have go to Start menu -> Run -> Type: DxDiag -> A DirectX Diagnostic Tool window should appear and undet the Display and Sound tabs you should find the info that you need. Then visit the manufacture and download appropriet drivers.
