I would like to play this game, but I am having odd graphical troubles. I attached a screenshot, and understand that other people have had the same issue before, and that the problem was the Catalyst A.I being turned on. However, I have turned it off, and the problem is still present. I have tried reinstalling and patching the program, reinstalling and updating my drivers, rebooting the computer, and nothing has changed.

Here's my computer stats:
Athlon 64 3200+ processor
1 gig of RAM
Windows XP
ATI Radeon x700 pro

I'm using the Radeon Omega drivers, version 3.8.291, which are based on Catalyst 6.9.

I will repeat, I tried turning off Catalyst A.I. and it did not help.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions on how to resolve this issue, as I'm really looking forward to enjoying this game.
looks like you turned on some sort of 16-bit colors
try reinstalling+patch and new drivers
That wasn't really helpful.
Still, I found that there was a slightly newer version of the Omega drivers and updated to that, and reinstalled the game for the third time.
It's still broken.
Can anyone tell me if there is a known problem with Radeon Omega drivers? Because if not, I'm stumped as to what the problem could be. What possibilities are there besides drivers? None of my other games look like this.
whats your brightness settings?
otherwise wel need to wait for thomas to get here, hel know
Afraid I am not sure. Try turning of bloom and see if that helps.

This finally did it! Thank you. It's really strange. Any idea why the bloom would screw it up so much?

I can finally play now. Excellent.

edit: I experimented further, and it the problem returns whenever either bloom or motion blur is turned on. Any idea of a possible cause?
Perhaps there is some realtime texture compression or something going on. Cause bloom and motionblur is first rendered to a texture and then copied to screen. Check so that Image Settings is set to high quality, that might work. (if you want motionblur or bloom that is).
If you're talking about in-game texture quality settings, I already have them set to high. In fact, I have all the graphic settings maxed except for resolution (1024-768) and of course bloom and motion blur which are turned off now. I would still like to get them working if at all possible.

I tried tweaking the various settings lower/higher, but none of them had any effect on the bloom/blur problem.

I do appreciate your patience in trying to work this out.
When I get the chance, I will only do stuff for consoles... everyone has the same hardware, oh the joy :)

Anyhow, will be interesting to see if the problem is still in Overture. And if so, I will dig deeper and try and find the cause.
Final update: After messing around with my driver settings, I appear to have finally fixed it! I can now play with bloom and blurring turned on.

For future reference, it seems that all I had to do was change "Texture preference" under OpenGL from "Quality" to "High Quality" in my graphic driver tray tools.

Thanks a lot for all your help - I can finally play this at full settings. Sorry for causing such a headache.
