Hi!
I have some problems with graphics. Some of polygons are black, especialy polygons of the floor. When all post-effects turned off, the floor is displayed right, but the door is displayed wrong.
Sorry for my bad english.
Have you updated your video drivers or updating directx could do the trick also
Yeah. My drivers is latest. DirectX, i think, is latest too. Other opengl 2.0 applications run without any problems.
Can you give us a screen showing the problem?
I can, if you tell me what program captures opengl right. Standart Print Screen doesn't work. I try few programs but they can't capture.
Is it the Overture demo or the tech demo you are playing?
In OVerture demo F8 can take screens.
Else use
FRAPS
Might want to lowering down the graphics if you can, I'm ina rush so I can't read this topic o_O
try reinstalling the game
and gamgam, next time read the topic :p not everything is fixable with lowering the graphics XD
especialy this things

Can't say this applies to you since every PC is different,
but in my case the black artifacts were apparently heat-related... obvioulsy something that no amount of tweaking or reinstalling could fix. In my particular case, it was probably related to an over-heated nForce4 chipset (the chipset fan was dead). Replacing the cheap hs/fan with a
real one fixed my problem.
I read somewhere that nForce4 chipsets have a reputation of getting quite hot... so replacing the fan ASAP was critical.
So my suggestion, just to eliminate this possibility: open your PC's case and check whether all the fans are running. Make sure the fans/heatsiks are not clogged by dust. Monitor the temperature of the mobo if possible. Take the opportunity to unmount the hs/fans from your processor and mobo chipset, clean them. Wipe clean the chips and put some new thermal paste before reassembling. Pain in the butt, but this sort of PC maintenance should be mandatory by law :)
Heat is a very serious problem in this age of faster and faster processors. As a rule, don't trust the fans that come with your mobo or processor. I'm not saying that this is always the case, but it looks like that's one area where manufacturers like to cut corners. I'm no tech guru by any stretch of the word, just talking based on the little experience that I have assembling my own PCs.
