I have found it saves when you leave the first room and go in the room with the busted key pad.

It's not possible to save, but the game saves quite often, so you don't have to worry! ;) The only problem is that you can't start a new game without overwrite the old saves...

It takes a bit of effort to keep track of which file contains which save game, though.

I know, you can always manage with windows files, but the game formally don't permits to begin different sessions! :)

I guess I'm just used to doing this. Many older games (roguelikes especially, I seem to recall) either allowed for only a few save games, or deleted the save game after you had loaded it. Backing them up was essential so as not to lose your game, should the program crash.
