Hi,

Downloaded the game today, and I have problems installing it. I have Windows XP. I unzipped the file and got a list of files all right, but when I click on penumbra.exe like the instructions say, I get an error message,

"The application has failed to start because SDL.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

The two confusing things is that... one: this is the first time I clicked on the game, so it can't possibly be already installed like it suggests, and two: SDL.dll is present in the list of unzipped files.

Any ideas what's going on and how to fix this? The game looks very interesting and I can't wait to play it.

Make sure you do not unpack in some strange location, like on your desktop. Try C:\penumbra\ to be 100% path is OK.

Then make sure that the file is unzipped with directory structure.

If all fales give more info on your exact directory setup for the game.

I made a special folder and unzipped it to C://Program Files/Penumbra, and that seemed to do the trick. Thank you for the help!
