I don't really care is it a PewDiePie or MLP custom story, I tend to look at things the way they are made. If the design is nice and the maker actually took time with it, I will enjoy it and probably many other people will too. Unless it's totally out of my league, then I would just ignore it.
To be honest, I don't even play Amnesia anymore. There are only few well-made custom stories but I don't like to play mods.

Can't wait to get new GPU so I can start continuing with my CSs.

The more people complain and post about how terrible custom stories are in every single thread the more attention those stories are going to get. If you just leave the thread untouched it won't get a lot of popularity since the thread will sink to the bottom and the creator probably won't make more, and not because people were being dicks to them and didn't want to continue, but just because no one seemed interested.

The ones creating these stories do not have the devotion needed to create proper stories, so you are NOT getting less serious content. If you simply pay no attention to what you don't like it will not harm you, this is a community for everyone and I'm not sure you've noticed but there are people who do enjoy these stories. What you lot are doing right now is basicly complaining that your mother handed a plate of food which you don't even like to your little brother.

At this point the constant nagging about this is getting more annoying than the stories themselves, you know why? Because as an indiviual whom does not enjoy these stories I simply ignore them, I do not feel the need to tell the creators how bad it is, and you know what? I don't have a problem with these stories due to that. So please, stop your bitchin'

Elaborate. How do they ruin the game for you? Did they manage Frictional Games to change something in actual games? Did they affect current games in development? Yes? No? Then how?
See, the problem is that you taking things way to seriously and letting someone else to ruin the fun for you. Simple as that. Are you "fan of the fandom" or fan of the game?

So someone released something online intended for a different audience than you, said specifically that it included things in it that you do not enjoy, never forced you to download it or askew you to critique it, and just because it runs on a game that you enjoy it's ruining the entire thing for you? It's pretty obvious from the name of a thread alone what kind of a story it's going to be (for example if it's called something like "scary night of darkness" it's pretty obvious it's not going to be a super immersive interesting story) and even if you can't tell by the name, the contents of the thread should be more than enough to tell what type of story it's going to be, so if it appears to be a story that you wouldn't enjoy why the hell would you play it? They're not ruining the game, you're ruining the game for yourself.

I take back some of what I said, but it's terribly ungrateful towards the developer to release those things.
