Excavation Room - Need help 1

i need to fill the excavator machine with oil to operate, i already got the gas can and the generator key from storage room, the problem is "the excavator machine fuel cover been rusted and i can't open it!", what i need to do? how the rusted fuel cover getting open..help me? i have no more idea to do..

go in the inventory menu, and move your hammer to the gas can, that should pop it open
