grunt and brute seems to have failed or bad pathfinding?

Yeh, monsters in Amnesia sometimes fail at simple things. They can stuck on a clean place for some reason.

Yea, or smashing a doorway when the door is already open, and getting stuck doing that indefinitely.

This is the biggest shortcoming of Amnesia for me, is the bad AI. It kind of breaks the immersion a little bit when the monster is trying to walk into a wall. I hope they put more time into the AI in the next Frictional Game. Smile

Maybe it is not a bug but a feature. They wouldn't have retained all of their former intelligence, they don't even remember how doorknobs work most of the time.

The AI is designed at times to make the monsters come off as retards
