[Solved]Unable to open .cfg files

I'm trying to make make custom stories. I have downloaded the game, not from steam, played it through, then downloaded the mac editor. When I delve into the amnesia folder, I am unable to open files such as main_settings.cfg and user_settings.cfg. It wants me to choose an application to open it with. I have no idea what this would be.

Someone, help?
