Hello, congrats, and thanks!
Hello there. Smile

Im amazed you did guys. Smile A really lovely engine. With USE of physics, not only a "prettinies", instead, a good use.

Hehe, just add an "arm" to the character in the same way that Tresspasser did, and you have a instant killer. (Be able to see your character in first person, is a pretty good thing)

Its a great game. A great engine. With great mood. (a pity the narrator voice, just need a more professional, but is good)

I really want to try to make at least a little game with your engine, but seems i need to know how to use Maya or 3d Studio.... argh! Im a programmer, not a modeler...

:_(

What about a little tutorial, just to make a simple room with those programs? With no detail, just the room with doors.

Or better: A simple 2d editor to make rooms. (build was great and very easy)

With that, i will surely made a few things. Smile Because i really love adventure games (hehe, a new Realms of the Haunting game, but with great shadows and graphs)

Also i really want how you love H.P. Lovecraft (as me i supose) I played long time ago your "Fiend" game. Really good one Smile

Best regards. And sorry my english.

PD: I send a mail in spanish a few days ago. Sorry, i thought you people were spanish guys. Tongue

Thanks for the kind words Smile

Yeah a map editor would be really nice, right now there is no time or manpower for it though. But who knows what the future will bring Wink

they are swedish btw Big Grin
There are tools, look here: http://frictionalgames.com/penumbramod
the wiki is offline at the moment but if you download the mod tools and the tutorials you can make some levels and stuff Smile
you do need a 3d modeling program (currently 3DSMAX and Maya are the programs everyone uses)

RE: Hello, congrats, and thanks!
well i can try an editor but made in blitz3d. (I made one, for my Daggerfall remake) As i can see, collada is an ASCII file, so can be possible?

So you need to model a room and model just a cube, just to add things to it, right? Its possible to add a chair, without the needed of add a cube to the room?

Collada is a fully documented format so it is not impossible.

Check out http://www.collada.org for the full spec.

RE: Hello, congrats, and thanks!
the entire map is actualy 1 big model so if you want to add a chair you need to model it, make a reference file and put the reference in the map
download the tutorials and read them Smile is all there (well most of it anyway XD)

RE: Hello, congrats, and thanks!
but as far i read, you need to make a cube to reference it, right?

The point is:

Just to make a fast sample, to want to try:

I want to use always the same room, but with different things in every room. Can i do it? Or i need to model every room, fillled with cubes that it references entitites?

PD: think this post should be moved into mod section. Smile
