Product Key

I just got a new gaming laptop and im trying to move the amnesia game to my new laptop and i was able to but it requires a product key and i dont know where to look for it or how to activate it because the last time i had the game moved over to a different computer it worked fine and didnt ask for a code. but i did have some guy from best buy take care of transferring all the files so he may have done something different but what should i do about this?????????

I'm having a similar problem except my serial number keeps being rejected as invalid.

i bought it through the website but it never asked for a serial key. thats why i dont know what it is. might have just automatically put it in but not sure. is their a way i can check it because i still have it on my other computer.?

Serial key is sent to you in the order confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address you provided during purchase. On your computer, the serial key is stored in Documents\Amnesia\Main\installkey on Windows. Copying over the file to the new computer to the same location should get the game to stop asking for a serial key.

thank you so much for the advice, it worked for me and I was almost at the point of giving up searching for an answer and quitting but when I found your instructions to fix this I am thankful for your help.
