Amnesia black screen

Hi, so I really need help. I'll just get right down to it, recently, I haven't been able to play Amnesia for some reason. It used to run PERFECTLY. I just got a brand new laptop two months ago, and got Amnesia the same day, and played it. Then, a month later, it doesn't play. It starts any everything with the whole Daniel guy and stuff, but then there's just a black screen!! That's it. I can hear me moving and all, but nothing else. I don't understand. And when I hit a few certain buttons, there's a little white dot in the middle of the window.
Can somebody please help?
