Samsung Laptop Black Screen/White Dot Problem.

I am a very serious computer newb. I am lucky to normally have my fiance help me but right now I am in a different state and need the help of someone else.

I couldn't find the answer in the Frequent troubleshooting Page so I need a bit of help. (Remember, I am horibble with computers. >_< )

I have this type of laptop, http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+15...Id=4707182 , and I am having a problem running the game.

It's your typical problem: I start the game just fine, black screen with the start menu options, (load, new game, options, etc.) Then I start the game with a black screen and subtitles with sound. After that opening bit gets done though, I get the black screen with the white dot. (I have the ability to open my journal and it sounds like I'm moving and such. I just can't see anything.)

The laptop is new and so is the game. Any help would be marvelous. Thank you and so sorry for the dumb questions.

You have intel hd graphics, which is below the specified requirements. But you can possible make it work, see section 2 about updating drivers for intelhd http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-11183.html .

@jens who does the game not support intel hd any way?

its not the game that does not support intelhd, it is intelhds drivers for opengl that has been and is for many faulty and does not fully support what they should support. so you have to use the latest drivers available to make sure they have the needed fixes.

I clicked on the link that you gave me, Jens, and I was given a 404 error.

I went to the Intel Driver Update Utility tool and scanned it but it wouldn't give me any new ones for my graphics card.
