Amnesia.exe has stopped working/launcher.exe has stopped working

Hi,

So I picked up Amnesia a while back but am just now getting around to playing it but everytime I try to start it I get the messages Launcher.exe has stopped working and Amnesia.exe has stopped working. I've updated my graphics cards and tried running it as admin but nothing works.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

I'd be happy to give you more information if I had any. I start the game and the launcher works. Then I start the actual game and a black screen pops up then i get the tabs that say Launcher.exe has stopped working and Amnesia.exe has stopped working.
