ctaud2k.sys OpenAL BSOD Limited to 64bit?
Was it the consensus that the audio BSOD from X-Fi OpenAL devices was limited to 64bit Windows installations?
In WIN7 64bit with OpenAL forced via main_settings.cfg, I can cause the BSOD any time by going through the door early in the game where you get the alchemy pot and mix the ingredients to kill off the growth. The loading screens is where the BSOD would occur and before it would crash you would see the Windows 7 animated circle cursor show up.
Somewhere I thought I saw someone say that this was because of Creative's driver not properly working with 64bit Windows so I put WIN7 32bit on my system and was unable to get the game to BSOD. I still had the same hardware installed, just changed the OS to 32bit.
