Amnesia frame rate drops and LAG.

Okay, did that, there is still lag and frame rate drops. Would turning areo off help? It helped Penumbra run 10x better and it had the same problem, I just cant seem to find a way to turn it off on a Steam game. If you know how, tell me, I mentioned it on another post (you may have read it.)

well just to test, select the Basic theme which does not have Aero and try running the game. I'll help more tomorrow if that does not fix it and if I can of course.

Also, if you want see the difference between before and after I turned off Areo for Penumbra, look at part 17, then 18, 18 I turned off Areo. http://www.youtube.com/user/DrRumstain/videos. Oh and no, my recording system did NOT effect the game. When I was playing the game, it would be at 10 fps and could drop to 1 FPS, and I was not recording. Now it is at 60-50 FPS, due to turning off Areo, even when I am recording it stays there.

Aero does not cause such problems unless the computer is extremely slow. We'll see I guess. Did you try the Basic Theme which has no aero?

Okay, I'm back, I turned off areo, nothing happened, there is still lag, I downloaded the new update, started a new game, deleted my old file, and there is still lag.
