now, see? that made sense. a naked guy flying to a player at ridiculous speeds out of a "legitly" placed closet, however, DOES NOT.

A teleporting naked guy isn't by itself a bad example of a jumpscare. Doing it with the same guy, at the same places, without work to make it unnoticeable makes it a bad scare. Also, a mod that's meant for scares is indeed a good piece of sh*t.
