RE: Graphics card issues
Im bringing this up because i'm desperate.

I have dual graphics cards in my laptop. An Intel HD integrated graphics card, and an NVIDIA 555M. FOr some reason, the retarded excuse for a launcher won't let me change the graphics card to the Nvidia, and, as a result, i get a black background on the game instead of any visible environments.

HOW TO FIX THIS BEFORE I GO INSANE!!

Use the control panel for the nvidia graphics card to specify what card to use.

updating the Intel HD drivers using the have disk method as well as the nvidia ones might also help.

I tried that jens, but it wouldn't take. the launcher puts the Intel HD instead of the Nvidia. I think it because the launcher database file doesnt have Nvidia Geforce GT555M as a workable graphics card (I checked). Is there a way to correct that?

I tried updating both graphics cards, and they are both up to date in every way.

Still open to ideas....

Set both the game and the launcher to use the geforce. the launcher database does not matter, it is only used to set the default settings.

also if you get the black screen then the drivers are not up-to-date for the intelhd card. as that is a driver issue and only occurs if your drivers are out-of-date.

RE: Graphics card issues
When i open the control panel, it says the amnesia launcher adn whatnot is auto select locked on the Nvidia, but when i open the launcher, it reverts to the Integrated HD card. Also, when i select the Amnesia file for modifyingm it changes in the selection box to the launcher in the redist file. When i select the launcher directly, it turns into some tony hawk thing that i don't even know where it came from.

And like i said, when i update the cards, it says they are fully updated.

Download drivers from each manufacturer's website of the graphics card and install those drivers. Not sure how you "update the cards" so far but they are not updated as it is now.

Intel HD needs to be updated using the have disk method ONLY
