I'm stuck with the Emergency watch thingy...

So I opened the door by typing the ID to the computer I just fixed, and got into some medical treatment looking room. I found some kind of Emergency watch, or something. I don't remember the exact name since you just equip it and it disappears from your inventory when you try to use it. So what the heck do I have to do with it?
