Blackbox issue, game unable to startup, help.

This game refuses to work for me, I have the latest Steam copy, and I can't even get this game up and running. Period. Yes.. I've read the troubleshooting guides, which are of no help to me whatsoever (as to be expected). Here is my hpl.log:

It ends there, when I double-click Amnesia.exe I am greeted with an infinite black screen that locks my computer up, I'm forced to complete a hard reset of my computer - potentially breaking it... here are my specs:
AMD Radeon 5770HD
Phenom II 3.2ghz Quad Core
4GB RAM
Windows 7 64 bit
ATI 12.6 Beta driver

I'm using a desktop machine, not a laptop. My GPU ISN'T the issue because I've have seen a YouTube gameplay video with my exact card running perfectly and I know my GPU is capable of running this broken game.

Thanks for conning me out of my money, I hope you feel happy, Frictional Games. I wish I could sell this piece of turd back and it would of been easier to have made the game through the support of Direct3D.

I just said I'm not using a laptop or built-in graphics.

The game is not bought from steam and since you seem determined that it will not work then nothing can be done.

No I did buy it from Steam, so now I can't play a game I bought with my hard-earned money...? Because the free demo doesn't work for me either. And it's just this game.

Edit: Oh, and if it helps everytime I start the Launcher.exe it says the previous settings caused the game to crash, going back to default. This happens everytime I launch that .exe.

Edit 2: Well slap me on the head and call me a donkey, I GOT IT WORKING! I had to disable triple buffering via Launcher.exe and set it to Blinear, the black screen still appears but only for a couple of seconds then the screen flashes then I can play the game! Yes!
