stuck at TNT

I am at the part near the beginning where you have to make a fuse and blow through a cave in. Every time I try to put the fuse in the keg all I get is "I don't want to risk this thing going off before I'm ready". I have checked walkthroughs so I know I haven't missed anything yet. Has anyone experienced someting similar?

It was quite a while since I last played Overture. But I'm pretty sure you have to move the TNT barrel and press it into the hole before you can put on the fuse. ^^

Thanks for the warm welcome, but I still can't get the fuse on. I've tried repositioning the barrel but nothing seems to work.

Drag the barrel into the hole in the landslide. Double click on the fuse in your menu, and put it on the barrel when it goes green.

P.S for the fuse to work, it had to be soaked with (bromine? found in the office) and then dipped in the gunpowder barrel,.

Bromine?? I remember you have to soak the string with baxtrin. Then you must break the barrel by using picaxe. Then dip the string in the gunpowder.:
