Level/Map size
Hi there,

after playing the demo I wondered about the maximum map size. Is there a limit in any way regardless of what type of limit? I ask because i would like to do some maps on this engine (assuming some tools or plugins are released) but if the maximum map size is what I get from one loading to another I would use another engine. The maps are very nice and i like the athmosphere more than in the Dark Project series but what I intent to do would be mush bigger than any of the demo maps.

Thanks in advance

RE: Level/Map size
Dunno really Smile Float decimal precision will fail after a while and load times will become REALLY long. But there is no other upper limit.

I have made tests with huge maps (a million objects) and they work.

RE: Level/Map size
Hi Thomas,

that sounds fine. I don't need short loading times. I'm used to wait on my system. :> So I'm glad to hear that there are no real limits except the float decimal precision. Is there any way to avoid those errors like putting more vis-portals into the map?
However, a million objects should fit my needs, I guess. Big Grin And the loadings aren't that long.
