No Mac Issues? or No Mac Users?
Surely there is some issue? Maybe someone can post the great experience they've had with the Mac demo build. Have I really done that good of a job on the port?

Hey, Im a Mac user with an issue. The game launches and runs, but the frame rate or movement is slow. I've played the demo until reaching the water level, and while using lower settings, but found no difference. Here are my specs and settings:

Powermac G5 2.3 Ghz dual core (late 2005)
Mac OS X 10.5.8
14 GB DDR2 SDRAM
Nvidia GeForce 6600 PCIe 256mb ram

Amnesia Settings
Quality:Medium
Resolution 1024x640
Fullscreen
Texture quality High
shadow quality medium
Shadow Resolution High

I kinda expect it to run slow on that. The ppc Machine I was able to test on was a g4 laptop with a ati 9700 card. And i had to run it nice and low to get it playable. It is unfortunate, but it is getting to the EOL of your ppc mac. Well I terms of running newer games that is.

I'm probably going to have to upgrade my 2006 mac pro here soon as well.

I think you just did a good job. I have a Mac Mini the game runs great on, an iMac the game runs great on, and an aaaannnnnnccccciiiieeeeennnnt G4 PowerMac that the game runs on...but it's totally unplayable. But it runs! I also have a Hackintosh that dual boots Win7/10.6 and the game runs great on both sides of the coin.

Take a bow and kick back. Works great in all the machines I've tried it on.

I've got an iMac OS X and I didn't have a single problem with the demo. I haven't had any problems with the full game so far either.

Meh. My '06 Mac Pro is still going strong. A graphics card update and faster HD does wonders. I've been running the official/optional GeForce 8800GT for a while now and just upgraded to a 1TB/64MB WD black. The drive benchmarks 2-3x faster than the original 250GB seagate drive -- big improvement in load times.

Oh, and uh... No crashes so far, though the drawers in the guest entry room don't fit in the dresser. ^_^

I have a G4 PowerMac from 2001 that I still use everyday. The only, ONLY thing it can't do is play Flash video content. That's Adobe's fault, and Adobe's fault alone. Runs Leopard and all the trimmings with no problems. It all depends on what you use a system for.

Of course, it sounds like a jet engine about to take off, but eh...

boski, I missed the 8800 cards when they were on apple's store.. I only have a 7300 Nvidia, HD 2600 ATI, and an X1900 ATI for the box.

Yeah, I guess they're pretty hard to come by these days. Discussion on the apple store page suggests the radeon 5770 works, less the mini display ports (leaving one DVI port). Or maybe one of the newer PC cards can be re-flashed? BTW, I'm just making suggestions here - don't let me stop you from picking up one of the new machines if it's in your budget. I just very rarely max out the processing power on my machine, so upgrading doesn't make sense in my case.

Here's a game issue I noticed: v-sync doesn't seem to be working. It's checked on but I'm still getting split frames.

Any idea why the OS X cursor stays in the game? The game is great but two cursors are to much and it looks kinda beta. Is this a rendering bug on OS X only? Can you solve it with a patch our a tip?

With kind regards,
DokterMac
