I am really interested in a solution here, reduced the (many) problems to this one error right after hitting the amnesia.exe

Try downloading another exe ...

IF you"ve purchased the game legally using "another" exe is NOT a problem imo.

There is a WINDOW (its called blackbox) okay ? you understand that? Good, now IN this window, there are 4 (four) errors. Each refferes to the Amnesia.exe. Understood?

That"s becuz the Amnesia.exe file is corrupted ...

in my case the original exe before corruption was 3280kb ...

AFTER corruption it changed to another value for reasons unknown.

Ich habe noch immer keine Lösung gefunden. Auf meinem HTPC mit ATI Karte läuft das Game. Ich habe jetzt zu Weihnachten auch meinen PC neu installiert, auch das brachte keine Besserung. HILFE, ich möchte gerne Amnesia spielen.

Wieso man hier alle Posts zweisprachig schreibt, ist mir ein Rätsel, ich halt mich einfach gleich an Englisch. (I don't get why posts here are bilingual, I'll just stick with english)

@Bols: Are "all" your drivers (not just your graphics drivers) up-to-date? Check sound drivers, chipset drivers etc. Outdated chipset drivers especially have caused some weird (and often isolated) issues for me.
Disable anti-virus software (not permanently, just to try it out, perhaps even while installing the game). If your hardware is overclocked, try using factory settings and see if that changes anything.

So, over one year is gone and i can't play these game. It's very sad. Last x-mas I have reinstalled my pc, can't play. I have a new soundcard, can't play.

Today I have installed the Amnesia Demo - IT RUN!!!!! But not the full game at steam. Why?

Ich habe eine Lösung gefunden. Habe immer Threatfire laufen. Das hatte ich zwar zum testen auch schon mal deaktiviert, aber das reicht nicht, man muss beide Tasks beenden. Und dann läuft auch Amnesia. Endlich :-)
