boxlight falloff
It seems that whatever i try, i can't have a good falloff effect around the borders of the boxlight, it looks like any i try gives the same to much hard transition. I even created one within photoshop with a greater falloff but its the same. I also played with the alpha of the color, thinking it was maybe the problem, but it looks like its not. Any help? Thanks.

RE: boxlight falloff
You can't have falloffs for boxlights. You have to position them well instead and/or at times use add instead of replace, but take notice that add is slower than replace. You can make a "hack" by making 3-4 narrow boxes, that gradually changes color, so you get a fake smooth transition if you really have to.

Good question, can't recall. I think that it depends on which boxlight you are standing in, I have some memory of it behaving like that, but it could have been a bug..

There is a prio for lightbox, at least in engine. I cannot say for sure if it is in the editor.

Also, add is always drawn after replace.

Another question regarding box lights: Whenever I read a tut on that, the author (in this case Luis) writes about placing a super 'faint' box light..

Whenever I try that, I end up with a lighting in my levels as if I had a mercury arc lamp instead of a lantern (meaning very VERY bright). Is there an Alpha setting that corresponds to this? The Alpha in color doesn't do anything Sad

Alpha controls the specular light. You simply lower all of the values to make darker colors. Darker colors = less bright.
