Penumbra Overture Artifact tet bug?
Hi guys, first of, great games, bought Amnesia after the demo, and until Amnesia i thought Dead Space was the scariest game you could play.

Got Penumbra Overture by donating a nice sum (mostly to Child's Play, sorry for that Wink ) with the Humble Bundle #2.
Thing is, i'm playing the Steam version, on a Core 2 system with Windows XP64 SP2 v.4666, with a HIS HD 4850 IceQ4 TurboX 512 MB videocard (Catalyst v10.12)

Now, whenever i touch an artifact, i get no text (i have seen text only with 2 artifacts so far, all the other just fade to white, and then fade to normal again without user interaction), this must be a bug, right?
I hate missing out on these sub plots and information that drives most of the atmosphere of these games, has anyone ever seen this behaviour before?)

Anyway, hope this problem can be resolved somehow.

cheers,
Sven

If I recall correctly not all artifacts have a text.

No, I'm quite sure they all have text. It may not be new text, but they still iterate what the last one said....

So, assuming not all artifacts contain text, they're merely save points then i take it.

Yes, definitely save points indeed, i just thought i was missing text as not all save point artifacts have text.
Come think of it, finished Overture yesterday and immediately bought Black Plague Gold Edition, and so far not one artifact in Black Plague has had text, so, guess i didn't miss out anything at all.

Just gotta stop playing now, or i'll be too pumped up to get some decent shut eye though Smile

However, these save points are not called artifacts.
There are real artifacts (called "artefact" in game) in Black Plague and Requiem which gives you something in the end of game if you find them all. Wink

Yeah. i found some of those as well, do they have any use besides an achievement type reward at the end of the game?
