RE: Intel Supported Graphics Cards
Thanks again for the responses guys. I understand that gaming is limited on my laptop setup and I appreciate your comments. I don't blame Frictional at all. I will look into newer drivers and let you know here if I find a solution, but I harbor little hope at this time.

RE: Intel Supported Graphics Cards
I got the latest Intel HD Graphics drivers installed (much newer then the HP version and from the Intel site) and the program now starts properly, but like other folks have posted here the screen is black within the game (although subtitles show and sound plays). Hopefully Intel will continue to improve the drivers and us low end laptop users will be able to enjoy this game in the future.

Its definitely possible, Penumbra couldn't be run on Intel graphics initially, but it now works from a driver update from Intel.

Just be patient... Play the Penumbra series if you already didn't... Intel probably will update their drivers someday and everyone with integrated intel graphics card will play amnesia and be happy forever Smile

RE: Intel Supported Graphics Cards
I keep hearing you say that Integrated graphics cards are not for gaming, and people keep saying that they shouldn't be able to run any game at all.

But this is the series of card I have.

It's supposedly designed for gaming, it claims to have Open GL support and I have the drivers fully updated yet I still experience the lack of being able to see anything.

This post is essentially void of any purpose but to explain that this particular brand of cards ARE designed for gaming. I hope Intel releases drivers or something soon :<

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I know barely anything about computing and such.

It's clear that you don't have any idea on rendering, shader, polygons.
THIS is designed for gaming.
