If you had no clue about what you were doing, why'd you make it seem like you did in your post? Claiming that a toaster stapled to a monitor could run the game tells me that you should know something before saying that.

I said i wasn't tech savvy. That means i know something, but not a lot.

At the moment Intel drivers for the Integrated graphics chips are not up to standards for modern OpenGL games it seems. It was the same thing with our old games in the Penumbra series, but after a year or so the drivers where updated to a point where they could run the game as intended. So there is hope for it to happen with Amnesia as well.

Requirements are to have NVIDIA/ATI graphics and if in doubt there is a demo to try.

To our forum members, please be nicer to first time posters, you can ignore threads that repeat the same issue instead and we will respond as soon as we can to them. Or just post a generic reply with what the problem might be, it is not always easy to be new to a forum and know all there is to know.
