All mouse interaction shows spinning ceiling..

Well, some time ago I found a solution on how to alt-tab the game which previously didn't work. During that I found out that the file that was blocking alt-tab was SDL.dll which is responsible for mouse, keyboard inputs. You can try changing that file although the fix below is for something else. It might help you though. Try it:

yes I knew that it wouldn't work. That was a long shot. What mouse do you have? Are your mouses(the ones you tried) all from the same company like Microsoft for example? Which one are you currently using?

The ones I've tried are a Microsoft trackball (old, they don't make them anymore), a Logitech wireless (the small ones you use with laptops), and a regular "silent mouse" (from quietmouse.com). I just ordered a new Logitech gaming mouse today, but I am doubtful it will change anything with this game. Between each mouse I tried, I uninstalled the drivers.

At the moment I am using the trackball again. It is the one I prefer... actually paid a big price for it a couple years after they were discontinued. :O

well try the new mouse, the gaming one, and tell us if that fixes the problem. I have no idea really. What Logitech mouse did you order exactly?

did the new mouse work? Before starting the game make sure you also have this installed(latest mouse drivers):

I tried the new mouse today, with latest drivers and various settings. None of it fixed the problem.

can you attach me here the file HPL.log found under Documents\Amnesia\Main? It may define the problem there.
