Flickering Problem

Hello All! I looked around on the forums and found some other users with this same problem, and the problem seemed to be fixed for them, but I tried those things and it didn't work.

When I start penumbra or amnesia, the game flickers. Nothing else seems wrong, it just flickers.

CPU:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Intel Core2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz (intel centrino duo)
3072MB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 - 1405MB

Any idea why this is happening? I've tried turning on/off Vsync and other settings nothing seems to work...help!!!

Make sure both games are fully updated to the latest version. Amnesia update v1.2 fixes issues with ATI X-Series cards

I got the game off of steam so I'd assume that it would be completely updated...I'll check really quick and see if it fixes it.

make sure you have this installed:

Attach us here the file HPL.log found under Documents\Amnesia\Main folder

7.51 kb is penumbra
3.16 kb is amnesia

From the log I can see that Amnesia is not updated to v1.2 which is important to run the game with such a graphics card. Do the same for Penumbra. Both games fixes issues with such cards at their latest updates.

How Would I update it properly from steam? I tried the update for it and it did not work.

I don't have steam so I cannot really help you with that. Try to manually update the game from its options or something. Moderator Tanshaydar should be able to help you...
