Cant get past the blue light

Alright so I've tried uninstalling and installing but it doesnt work.
I've tried making a new profile. Doesnt work.
I've tried exiting the game and re-entering. Nada.
My problem specifically is:
I pick up all the notes ((in order)) my guy faints and the voice with the "I was trapped"
"That is when I see a shimmering blue light"
"I crawl over blah blah"

WELL
I don't see the light when I'm suppose to ((i watched you tube vids))
and after the crawling line it stops completely.
Pitch black, can't move. But I can hear sound effects.
Whats wrong with it?

Try to lower your graphic settings at that area and re-configure them once you are able to pass.

Yes, the above usually works. It could me your graphics card because usually cards that can barely run the game behave like this. Attach us here the file HPL.log found under Documents\Amnesia\Main folder. Aso, what operating system do you have? Laptop or desktop?

i have a laptop.

Your card barely runs the game since it is Intel and you have the latest drivers to be able to play it. In order to pass this point you should start a new game(only if you updated the game while in the middle of the previous game) and before that place turn everything down at graphics options(everything), get past it and raise them up again like before.

You should not have to start a new game, loading a save from before picking up the note or in worst case the save from before you entered the level the first time should suffice (as long as you do the turning down of graphics as well).

yes I wanted to suggest the earlier save but he/she is already at the very beginning. It should take him/her like 5-10 minutes to get back there.
