No, you just had the old version. There was a version after the one you downloaded that was released about 5 mins later with all bug fixes. Notice that Cry also had to blank notes and such. Its because you got the download within the first 5 mins, and not after I updated it.

Okay here's my review and verdict...

Storyline

I'll be honest, your plot sucks, bad, it's basically the same thing as the original game's plot, evil guy kidnaps and kills people for their blood, vitae soul whatever.

And it's up to you to stop him, and he has his host of evil creatures serving him as well.

Only differences are, you're his son, and he kills people for his research, not to go home

Gameplay/Puzzles

The gameplay is fucking lame is what it is, the monsters are so eager for screen time that they're freaking competing with each other, it felt like Dead Space where every corner you turn around there is a monster.

Also the puzzles are very bland, find a key, unlock door, rinse and repeat

Could be worse, but also could have been much better

Atmosphere

This is pretty weak as well, at first it was really cool with 'hearing noises in the attic', but other then that, there is no buildup in tension or atmosphere, you go from a nice place to finding bodies and corpses everywhere in no time flat, it just...sort of breaks the immersion to be honest.

I mean think about the original, you don't even have a majorly dangerous encounter with any monsters till halfway through the game...

Does the OP actually know that Laudanum is a real thing and doesn't contain "Acid of the damned".

As far as I've played it (I've just got to the basement) the gameplay is good, I did jump at some points, but I don't think the story is all too good.

Great effort though.
