Anyone know what's up with this?

So I was looking at the Dungeon map from Justine in the level editor today to get some mapping ideas, and I found this...

Anyone know if this is even used in the level? I've played through Justine plenty of times and never ran into this, and I've never heard anyone mention it. So do you think there's a way to activate this guy in game?

I've noticed that too; perhaps the devs decided not to use because the chase scene was already so intense?

Did you try a search through the game's script? If it's usable there will be something in there for sure.
