How fit is Alexander?

We assume that being alive for hundreds of years takes a toll on your physical health, yet Alexander was able to dispatch Zimmerman - a farmer - all by himself, and he also has the physical strength to restrain / escort prisoners.

But Daniel mentions in the note at the beginning of the game that the baron's body is old and weak compared to himself, and Agrippa adds "Alexander is toothless without an orb."

So he is strong baron or not?
