I'm curious, am I the only one who ended the game without using any dynamite on the pretense that it would be more useful later?
Same applies to flares and painkillers.
I found plenty, and never really used them.
What'd you end Overture with in your inventory?
Go ahead and post Black Plague/Requiem (Is it out yet?) too. I'll beat it in a few hours here
I never really understood the sense of these flares, just collected them all in my inventory. I also almost never used the flashlight, instead took the glowing stick which has unlimited capacity. The painkillers were useful sometimes, but there were more than necessary.
The flares has only a bit larger light radius than the glowstick and the red light is kind of annoying, so I never bothered.
It would have been interesting to see how the game played if there was no glowstick at all, and you had to rely on just your limited flashlight and flares. Kind of like how Amnesia is gonna be, I guess.

You could impose those restrictions on yourself in a future playthrough. Maybe even go so far as removing the glowstick from your inventory in your save file.

Just "forget" to pick it up and try to get through without it
I, myself, tend to be a hoarder, so ending the game with tons of flares and painkillers wasn't annoying. In fact, the only times I would have used lots of flares and painkillers is if you could only carry a limited amount, and I had no room to grab that item lying on the ground. Then I'd just use it mainly for the hell of it, and now because I needed it.
