YOu have proberly answered this before but I had to reinstall Amnesia and now I'm getting

When I load the game off steam

Can you open any other game bought from Steam?
Also, verifying integrity cache would help. Restarting Steam connection might also help. Otherwise, it's probably a Steam connection problem.

That should be correct since the game itself doesn't generate such errors as far as I know. Try these for now and we'll see...
