Amnesia walking problem. - diustav - 06-13-2012
So I got Amnesia: The Dark Descent off of Steam about 3 days ago. It was working flawlessly until I entered the 'Refinery' section. Once I got to that section, Daniel would randomly stop walking. The game wasn't freezing; everything around me was functioning as normal (including the monsters) and I could continue walking if I re-pressed the key. There doesn't seem to be any sort of trigger for this anomaly, and I can rest assure you that my finger isn't slipping off the key. My computer can run just about any game flawlessly, and as I said, I had no trouble before entering the Refinery. This really isn't a serious problem, but it is quite annoying when you're being chased. Any help regarding this problem will be appreciated.

I know how you feel, I never experienced this but what you could do is:
- Reinstall the game
- Make sure the keyboard is plugged in all the way
- Make sure the keyboard functions right
- Look at FAQ's
