Amnesia better monsters, mod - Doomtodeath - 01-26-2013

Hi. One thing that dissapointed me in the game was that, well. The monsters are just plain retarded. That bothers me D:

Do you know any mods/maps where i can have a real epic chase scene with monsters, You know... Sliding under slowly closing vault doors... And stuff

Sorry if this is a dumb topic but. Sad I just want better monsters, Smarter, Or atleast less things to stand on and be safe on forever D:

It's a psychological horror game, if you play it like you should, you shouldn't be able to notice most of the monster's glitches.

Unless you run around like a mad man getting stuck behind the firepit with the monster luring for you.

How about you play some Dead Space until AAMFP comes out? That should quench your thirst for action! Big Grin

On a more serious note, custom stories and full conversions can't change core elements of the game like monster AI, as this is code that is not accessible with the tools provided (Correct me if I'm wrong...). So there might be some stories that do complex stuff with scripts and the like to "fake" more interesting monster behaviour (Haven't heard of one though), but if you want better AI you'll have to wait until Machine for Pigs comes out.

Edit2: Yeah, i3670, I know there are several interpretations/ translations/ whatever - with the usual 666 not necessarily being the correct one. Ah, but the moment was fleeting anyway, because I immediately screwed up the number by posting somewhere else ^^ Now I have to wait until my 1000th post or something.
