Sun And The Solar Storm 2014. - Red - 01-09-2014

I've heard rumors about something like this could hit the next few days.
Something about the earth's poles flipping sides and radio waves get tangled and stuff.

Do you have guys some info on this? Is this really happening?
If you ask me i kind of doubt it.

Here i found something about this stuff:

That article had a bunch of vague "we can observe this stuff" and "a natural cycle that happens every 11 years is going to happen some time."

Every time there's a fear-mongering headline I roll my eyes.

I got some new info on this stuff: There was abnormally huge sun magnet storm two days ago at the sun, and the solar wind will reach Earth today, creating northern lights, which can be seen from the northern part of 50th parallel.
It is predicted that this event might last over the weekend,
so that means northern lights for next 4 days!

Wait what? I thought the solar storm had happened on 2012 or 2013, but I could easily be wrong.

Still no colors in the sky. Me disappointed.
