@Spaces

Why is the bar on the second picture hanging without being attached to anything.

Overall very nice image with little to critique, really like the bump mapping on the floor and the cloth.
The texture/uv on the stairs is a bit weird though with the end piece being all thin. not much achitectural knowledge but is it not a little strange to use multiple planks on stairs? would you not normally use one per step?. I suggest changing the texture.
Its minor but maybe you should also add some faint illumination to the computer screen, not so much that it affect the environment just so that the brightness of the screen is not affected by shadows since that would not really make sence. Perhaps add some light to buttons too?

Maybe add some papers and a cup of pencils on the desk as well, looks a little empty though that's not necesarily a bad thing.

On the floor in front of the desk, what is that white tube? Is that suppose to be taped down cables? It looks tall/thick enough to knock your chair over if you roll over it... ouch.

I swear I see little gold specks all over in that general area also.

You mean... the rail? That's a glass pane. In front of the desk.

The gold specks are artifacts from the render, but because I have a crap machine and already spent a full day just rendering one part of that scene, I just gave up. I did a bit of touch up in gimp but decided I had already invested enough effort into a tutorial piece. If I decide to put it in my portfolio I'll touch it up some more.

EDIT: Screw it, it took like 5 seconds to fix. Mazel Tov.

Oh, it's part of a modular set all that. So one piece was simply "there". Nice halsduk Traggey!
